Dr David Sparks is an Australian trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a specific interest in facial rejuvenation surgery. He performs the Deep Plane Facelift and Deep Neck Lift with a focus on natural results for his patients. In addition to this he offers the SMAS plication facelift and neck lift techniques as well as the Endoscopic Mid-face Lift and MyEllevate minimally invasive neck lift. Other facial cosmetic surgery procedures he performs include blepharoplasty (eyelid reduction surgery), brow lift, lip lift/rejuvenation, buccal fat pad removal, genioplasty, cosmetic fat grafting and otoplasty (“prominent ear” / “bat ear” correction). Dr Sparks also takes referrals for breast and body cosmetic procedures including liposuction.
Dr Sparks also performs surgery for skin cancer/melanoma (including sentinel node biopsy), facial palsy (facial reanimation), as well as Head and Neck cancer (parotid tumours, neck lumps, microsurgical reconstruction). For cancer surgery, he has a focus on achieving the most cosmetically favourable results through minimally invasive approaches and innovative techniques.
Having trained in major public and private hospitals throughout Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast, Dr Sparks has had a broad training in all aspects of plastic, hand, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. On completion of training, he was awarded the Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

In addition, he received the Poate Family Plastic and Reconstructive Travel Grant, allowing him to observe and learn from leaders in craniofacial surgery in the United States.
Dr. Sparks holds a PhD in regenerative medicine, for which he was nominated for the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award (ODTA). He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Queensland and has published multiple research papers in prestigious journals, including those affiliated with Nature and Science. His commitment to advancing the field extends to training the next generation of medical professionals and supervising research students.

Being a local on the southern end of the Gold Coast, Dr Sparks provides surgical procedures both in the northern end of the coast (Pindara Private Hospital and Broadwater Private Day Hospital) as well as in the southern end (John Flynn Hospital and Tweed Day Surgery).
